Federal Campaign (CFC)
Applications for the Fall 2010 West Point/Orange/Rockland/Sullivan CFC campaign are now available. If you need your 5-digit code, please refer to the 2009 Charity List. The number is the same each year and for each campaign area. Following are the deadline dates and important changes that have occurred.
For Local Independent Organizations and Federation Member Organizations: Submission dead line is on or before 5:00pm on February 12, 2010
For Federations: Submission deadline is on or before 5:00 pm on Friday, February 26, 2010. OPM has provided a spreadsheet that Federations are now required to complete. E-mail this sheet to faman@uwoc.org on or before February 27, 2010. Include a hard copy with your application.
Please note: Federation audits must include a statement verifying that the federation has honored designations made to member agencies. Please also note the chapter and bona fide affiliate requirements. All required documentation must be submitted.
Additional changes per OPM: Due to changes in the formatting of the 2008 and 2009 IRS Forms 990, Statement #6 of the application has been modified to specify the sections of the document that are required from organizations submitting a pro forma IRS Form 990. In addition, Statement #7 includes information on how to calculate the administrative and fundraising rate using the new form. This change only affects organizations submitting documentation for a fiscal period that ended on or after December 31, 2008. Organizations submitting an IRS Form 990 or pro forma IRS Form 990 for a fiscal period that ended before December 31, 2008 should use the 2007 IRS Form 990 and follow the appropriate instructions in the application.
- Federations are required to submit membership information (Federation Application Attachment A) via the attached Excel spreadsheet. The completed spreadsheet should be sent to the campaign at the time of the application deadline. Be sure to provide federations with the email address and deadline for submission of this data.
- Federations must provide copies of each member organization’s IRS determination letter (or other verification documentation) and DBA documentation as Attachment B of the federation application.
- A new model application form for Family Support and Youth Activities (also known as Morale, Welfare and Recreation organizations or “MWR’s”) has been created.
