Community Needs Assessment

In 2008, Orange County United Way conducted a Community-Wide Ready-By-21Needs Assessment: A Report For the Community From the Community. With the help of the SUNY New Paltz Business Institute and many volunteers in the community, United Way was able to uncover the highest priority community health and human service needs in Orange County. Based on the results of the Community Needs Assessment, United Way has decided to focus its resources on:

  • Helping Children and Youth Succeed
  • Promoting Financial Stability
  • Promoting Health & Well-being
