MONTGOMERY, NY – Love Purses? Then we’ve got an event for you! The Orange County Women’s Leadership Fund invites women to join them for a fabulous evening of silent and live auctions that feature chic new and vintage designer purses, plus hot music, great food, and drawings for some sassy stuff! Join the Orange County Women’s Leadership Fund and Orange County United Way in creating lasting change that moves women and girls of Orange County to financial independence – that’s the “Power of the Purse.”
The Power of the Purse is the Women’s Leadership Fund’s primary fundraising tool. Last year’s event raised more than $17, 469 for grants that directly benefit women and girls in Orange County and auctioned off 77 Purses/Wallets/Bags. The Power of the Purse 2011, the signature event of the Women’s Leadership Fund, will be held on April 29th from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Falkirk Estate & Country Club in Central Valley. Honorary chairs this year are Guy Clark, a published New York City society decorator, and internationally recognized fashion designer Harrison Morgan. Both are Orange County residents who have generously supported the Women’s Leadership Fund since its inception.
The Orange County Women’s Leadership Fund was formed in 2007 and mobilizes the caring power of women in our communities who, as philanthropic leaders and advocates, positively impact the lives of women and girls in Orange County. Funds raised are returned to the community through annual grants to nonprofit organizations.
